The event brought together business leaders, HR professionals and sustainability practitioners interested in understanding how organizations can address some of today’s most pressing workforce challenges, including absenteeism, employee turnover, talent retention and workplace wellbeing.
During the session, Manuel Quílez, Managing Partner at Coordina Estrategia y Resultados Sostenibles and partner representative in Stress Out Project, explored the relationship between organizational wellbeing, business sustainability and ESG strategies. The presentation highlighted how labor market transformations, changing workforce expectations and evolving regulatory frameworks are driving organizations to rethink the way they manage people, performance and organizational sustainability.

One of the key messages shared during the webinar was that employee wellbeing is no longer simply an operational matter or a human resources initiative.
Increasing levels of absenteeism, work-related stress, burnout and employee turnover are having a direct impact on organizational performance, productivity, competitiveness and long-term sustainability. At the same time, employees increasingly value factors such as leadership quality, work-life balance, flexibility, recognition and a positive workplace culture.
As a result, organizations are recognizing that wellbeing must be integrated into broader business strategies. It is becoming an essential component of organizational resilience, talent retention and sustainable growth.
In this context, wellbeing is gaining prominence within the Social dimension of ESG, reflecting a growing understanding that sustainable organizations depend not only on financial performance but also on the health, engagement and development of their people.
Presenting the Corporate Wellbeing Plan Guide Developed within Stress Out Project
A central element of Coordina’s contribution was the presentation of the Corporate Wellbeing Plan Guide, one of the practical resources developed through StressOut-project.
The guide was created to help organizations move beyond isolated wellbeing initiatives and adopt a more structured and strategic approach to workplace wellbeing. It provides a practical methodology that can be adapted to organizations of different sizes and sectors, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The proposed framework includes organisational diagnosis and needs assessment; employee participation and engagement; identification of priorities and objectives; design and implementation of wellbeing measures; monitoring through indicators and performance metrics; and evaluation and continuous improvement.
The guide also includes practical examples of actions related to psychosocial health, healthy leadership, stress prevention, communication, work organization, work-life balance and employee wellbeing promotion.
From Isolated Actions to a Sustainable Wellbeing Strategy
Another important idea discussed during the webinar was the need to move from reactive approaches towards strategic wellbeing management.
Many organizations continue to address absenteeism, turnover or employee wellbeing through isolated actions. While these initiatives can provide short-term benefits, they often fail to address the organizational factors that contribute to stress, disengagement and workforce instability.
Corporate Wellbeing Plans offer an opportunity to build a more systematic and sustainable approach by connecting employee wellbeing with organizational objectives, talent management and long-term business sustainability.
This perspective reflects one of the core ambitions of StressOut-project: supporting organizations across Europe in creating healthier, more resilient and more sustainable workplaces through practical tools, evidence-based methodologies and innovative learning resources.
By helping organizations place wellbeing at the center of their strategies, StressOut-project continues to promote workplaces where both people and organizations can thrive.
