It’s World Mental Health Day
Every year on the 10th October we throw a spotlight on some of the biggest societal challenges that pose a threat to people’s mental health.
The World Federation for Mental Health, the founder of World Mental Health Day, presents the WFMH Global Campaign 2024. The Global Campaign aims to recognise the World Mental Health Day 2024 alongside the final phase of WFMH 75th Anniversary. The campaign and its initiatives will be based on this year’s official theme of World Mental Health Day- ‘It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace’.
As we mark World Mental Health Day, it’s essential to focus on one of the most significant challenges facing today’s workplaces: burnout. In an increasingly fast-paced environment, more employees are dealing with prolonged stress that can lead to burnout.
Burnout doesn’t appear suddenly, it develops over time, often creeping in unnoticed until it takes a serious toll. Its impact extends beyond personal wellbeing, affecting organisations as a whole.
We’re advocating for collective responsibility when it comes to mental health in the workplace. From leadership to staff, we all play a role in learning to identify the signs of poor mental health and offering support to each other. By doing so, we can build healthier, more resilient workplaces where mental wellness is prioritised for everyone.
On this World Mental Health Day, by addressing workplace burnout, we can cultivate a more engaged, productive, and satisfied workforce. A workplace that supports mental health is one that thrives. Let’s join forces to tackle burnout and foster environments where everyone can succeed.
The StressOut project seeks to offer tools for managing and preventing stress at both personal and business levels. It supports the development of an innovative training program featuring experiential activities to help employers and employees address work-related stress and burnout, while also providing accessible, modern techniques for preventing them.
